Manufacturing Engineering Program
Manufacturing Engineers create, improve and advance
product and service design, development and distribution that stimulate innovation
and foster the country manufacturing competitiveness. Manufacturing Engineering prepares students to have
careers in Micro-electromechanical
systems, Telecommunications,
Nano-electronics,
Fuel
cells, Green
manufacturing, and Service-system
supply chains.
As few examples, manufacturing engineers pioneered the
sensor in your car’s air bag, the print head in your inkjet printer, and the
optical switch that routes your phone calls. They work on manufacturing for
mini jet engines, advanced telescopes, artificial inner ears,
microprocessors, and green manufacturing.
